Painting and appliqué

Painting and appliqué is worked entirely by hand, motif by motif, before anything is joined to the cloth. It cannot be rushed and it cannot be machined — which is why every piece differs slightly from the last.

This is a description of the technique, not of Radhika. How she came to it, and what she would say about it, is hers to tell.
